Spelling Bee
The Middle School Spelling Bee is for students in 7th and 8th grade. Students are given a list of words to study for the bee, which takes place during flex period. Students compete in a traditional bee with spellers being eliminated in rounds. The winner of the Middle School Spelling Bee then advance to compete against winners from other schools. Ultimately, students can have a chance to participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee (SNSB) in Washington D.C.
Meetings: Students will sign up for the Middle School Spelling Bee and receive a copy of the words to study; there are no official meetings.
