Orchestra

The Middle School Orchestra performs several concerts a year. The orchestra has also performed in concert with the Elizabethtown High School Orchestra, and occasionally performs in venues outside the school. The orchestra performs a wide variety of challenging music literature, including arrangements of symphony classics, popular songs, as well as fiddle and bluegrass arrangements.

Advanced students are eligible to participate in local orchestra festivals for further enrichment.

Allegro Ensemble

The Allegro ensemble is a select string ensemble that is auditioned every September. Only students currently enrolled in the Middle School Orchestra are eligible. The Allegro Ensemble performs numerous concerts a year. Each fall the ensemble joins the Elizabethtown Area High School Orchestra as part of its annual Pops Concert. Every other year in the spring, the Allegro Ensemble participates in a music festival competition and has won numerous excellent and superior ratings. The ensemble has travelled to numerous locations in the Mid-Atlantic region including New York, New Jersey, and Ohio.
